As stated above, we have 31 years with Microsoft technologies support and troubleshooting, initially in an office, networked environment, in the City, where interoperability between different hardware and software technologies was common place.  Notice, we use the word "troubleshooting", where nobody else does, we learnt to be proactive and draw from a tried and tested troubleshooting methodology to solve problems and still draw from that today.  That troubleshooting methodology applies to all hardware and most software, we just had to evolve our thinking to implement newer, smaller, higher performance parts and newer layouts of software.  Therefore, we learnt from very early on, from 1995 onwards in fact, to effectively work with multi platform environments, for top Financial instiutions, where down time was never an option. 

 

Where others could say, "we don't deal with Apple,", or  "we don't deal with Microsoft," and, "we are not generalists in all, but specialists in one,", we say, "from a user perspective, you absolutely have to be experts in at least both those technologies".  We have over 18 years of Apple experience, as we saw the market expand and end users were purchasing more and more Apple products, we identified a need and taught ourselves how to respond.  We feel that hands on experience wins, hands down, every time and we made our mistakes very early on and learned from them. 

 

We also have some experience of Linux and putting distros onto peoples' machines that no longer want or can run Windows or Apple software, or where they have a company locked or lower hardware specification device.   Linux will run very well on a machine with 4GB of RAM for instance and this is an option if your machine is limited to that and you are looking for a way to carry on using it.
